40 + Style I Wore This Spring

Second Chances

Sorry for the lack of posts last week. I was traveling for work almost the entire week, so yeah… Airplanes, hotels, meetings, meetings, meetings, team building events and BBQ. I was in Alabama. I ate like a pig. A big fat, fatty, fat pants, pig.

But I’m back now. Hi.

Do you ever regret not buying something? I’ve had several pieces that got away from me and it always bums me out. I’m pretty frugal, and I hate paying full price for an item. Sometimes, while I wait for something to go on sale it sells out in my size never to return again. I then pine away for that perfect item and lament the fact that I didn’t buy it. I also call myself bad names.

I got a second chance on this denim shirt dress though. Yay! Last year it was in the regular J. Crew store and I failed to acquire it. I waited too long. This year, the J. Crew Factory store has it. I wasn’t going to let it slip me by again, so I snatched it up. I really like how the J. Crew Factory Store has been “re-running” some of last year’s popular styles. If it’s a classic it doesn’t matter.

  1. Yay! Glad shopping fate stepped in – this is a great dress to have in your wardrobe forever! And I agree – I love that Factory remakes all the JCrew hits! AND I love those sandals. I’ve had my eye on them but need more sandals like I need a hole in my head!
Get some rest! Travel sucks the life out of me!
