Teal Merino Pullover Sweater With Cognac Accessories

I’ve been enjoying a lot of the offerings from Madewell recently. I visited the store a week or so ago and tried on some stuff and ended up falling in love with the Northstar Pullover Sweater. First and foremost I love the color, but I also love the thin merino knit. The long sleeves and curved hem styling is a nice alternative to the J. Crew Tippi Sweater. You can’t quite tell in these photos but the hem is longer in the back, so it provides some derriere camouflage.

The only word of caution that I have for you is it that the hem split on the sides goes up pretty far. You either need to wear a bottom that is higher waisted or layer a thin tank top or camisole underneath. Otherwise your flubber will show. Live and learn.

  1. I’m SO glad you are back!!!!! Missed your posts. You look great as usual. Hope the new job is going well.

  2. Loving that sweater. I was reading the reviews, and wondering if you found it true to size, or if you sized down.

    1. Hi Dawn, I actually got this sweater in my regular size. It is on the roomier side width wise, but there are slits on the sides that go up pretty high. I was concerned that the slits would go too far up with the smaller size. As it is, I have to wear something underneath or risk flashing people. Ha! Thanks, Ashley

      1. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your advise was spot on. I’m wearing my new sweater today, and I agree with you about the sides. So glad I didn’t size down.
