40 + Style Casual / Weekend Wear I Wore This Spring

Simple Casual Friday Outfit

I’ve been waiting to wear this short-sleeved sweater from Madewell for a while. This is one of those items that came out late January or early February. I tried it on when it was first arrived in the store, and then patiently waited for it to go on sale. I knew there was no sense in me buying it when it was still freezing cold out, because I wouldn’t be able to wear it, until the temps hit the mid 70°s. As luck would have it, they had my size available when it did go on sale and I scored it for a great price.

Winning!

I like it because there is some substance to it, which helps to camouflage the lumpy and bumpy parts. I also like it because it is black and white. And striped. The material is part acrylic, which I generally tend to avoid because I can’t stand pilly clothing. So, I’ve just have to see how it washes and wears. On that note, does anyone have a great recommendation for removing pills from sweaters? I’ve got a few that need some help.

Here is a link to save $40.00 off your first pair of M.Gemi shoes. I’m a total convert. Click on the link and then when you place an item in your bag and go to check out the discount will be applied. This link is good though the end of May 2016.

  1. Whoa! Stripes. Never seen them here before. Anyway, it really is so important what the fabric is to have it work on our midlife bodies. I use small scissors for pilling which takes forever so gets done in the car on the way to whatever I’m wearing the pilly sweater to. Hopefully you’ll get a better answer. Julia
