Hi friends! Long time, no post. I am truly sorry for the radio silence. I’ve had a series of conflicts and bad luck. I think you are all aware by now that I work full-time, so I take my photos on the weekends. Last weekend I had fully intended on shooting some outfits, but it rained all day Saturday and then I flew to Austria early Sunday afternoon for a week long work trip. The weekend before was my son’s homecoming dance. We had all sorts of things to do for that and it was way more important than photos my the blog. My kids will always trump the blog. I’m back now and am trying to detox from my trip overseas and re-acclimate to my time zone. Jet lag is rough, both coming and going…
Anyhoo… Enough about the perils of international travel.
I bought this pink velvet blazer a while back, but have just now had the opportunity to wear it, as it has been such an unseasonably warm fall. I’m ready for things to cool down, and I think things are finally headed that way. Fingers crossed. Pink is not normally a color that I have worn in the past, however, I have been trying new things on my quest to zhush up my wardrobe. I saw it and thought to myself “Oh, what the hell… I’ll try it.” So, I added it to my cart and LOVED it when it arrived.
All I want to wear lately are fun blazers. I like how I can throw them over my basic pieces and I end up with an interesting outfit. They are a great investment because you know they will not go out of style. Perhaps a pink velvet blazer is not super versatile, but with the classic cut I know that it is a piece that will be wearable for years to come.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
